To me it mainly seems to revolve around his ego to be honest.

To me it mainly seems to revolve around his ego to be honest.Which one of them do you mean? It is quite a big-up piece for both of them but Geldof always seems to have a basic sort of bluntness to him whenever you hear him which adds credibility. I don't know how genuine it is. I've never actually met him...

Both but mainly Bob's first person writing style.

Geldof is huge on African aid. He is obviously biased by this position. Have you seen his famous 'live aid' rant?

Even so this is an interesting slant on the pres.

Actually, Bush's efforts in Africa does get press coverage here. My wife and I were rather surprised to learn of it all a few months back during a 20 minute segment on the news talking about all the good GWBush is doing in Africa.

This is why I try my best to consistently refer to failures by the Administration, and not failures by Bush. From what I've read and watched, he's actually a very decent human being who got in bed with the devil, but didn't realize that the devil was impotent and he actually had the power.

Yes, he's the decider, but he got way over his head, way too quickly and can't figure out how to dig himself out. I'm referring to following the advice of his advisors that were apart of PNAC.

Had Bush had his father's advisors, I believe he would've led one of the best Admins ever.

He's a good man, just a little fockin' dumb, questionable judgement, and way too passive.

As for Africa, I pray that he becomes a Jimmy Carter and winds up doing more good AFTER he leaves office and continues his efforts in Africa.

Bull****. He's in no way a decent human being. The best that can be said about him is perhaps the bit from Cat's Cradle about the Nazi camp doctor who was working day and night saving lives in the jungle. To paraphrase, the head of the clinic says, "Working day and night, the number of lives he saves will equal the number of lives he was involved in taking in 3010."

No one is 1 or 0.

If Geldof and Bono are in the same room do they cancel each other out or does the smug expand at an exponential rate until spontaneous choruses of "Do They Know It's Christmas" break out?
