that we need to keep more of our troops there, indefinitely.

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/us/AP-Bush-Iraq.html

Bush said the United States would proceed with planned drawdowns of U.S. forces, bringing home about 20,000 of the 30,000 troops he sent to Iraq last year to combat sectarian violence.

First thing I want the next US President to do is to put the annual WoT spending in the annual budget. It's been over 5 years and we're still operating on supplemental and emergency spending measures?

Next thing i want him/her to do is figure out how to pay as we go. If taxes start going up and services start going down just to pay for the war, it'll be over in no time.

We can't afford it NOW, let alone another year. Let McCain bomb Iran and bring everyone else home. That will fix everything, right n8?

How about having the country we are "helping" pay their fair share? (i.e ALL OF IT, if they want us there. If not, load up the C 17s fellas, we are going home!) Money, oil, beer, hot chicks. Whatever. Why we are dumping our $$ into other countries when Johnny cant read and his Dad cant drive to work on a decent road is beyond me...

GW Sr. wouldn't let troops be "mercenaries" back in the day (Dersert Shield/Storm era). I say we need something out of it...

Maybe we shouldn't have destroyed most of the country's infrastructure in an ill conceived and illegal invasion?

We won't begin to be paying our fair share until Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld and the whole bunch are hanging by the end of a rope just like Saddam was...
