Iīm riding with some friends out of the country and my friendīs 66 seems to loose some of its travel (1" to 2"). Is there any solution that can be performed with regular tools to make the fork return to its original 7"? We are riding the Mega Avalanche in Peru this weekend, any help is highly appreciated.

somone pmed this to me awhile ago. Very easy
It's pretty easy to fix the travel wind-down on your 66. Just unscrew the cap on the ATA side with a cassette lock-ring tool. There are two holes in the middle of the threads on either side of the cap. Inside the holes are small set-screws. Tighten those screws a little till you have positive detents when turning the ATA knob. Screw the cap back on and VOILA. No more wind-down.

not too bad of a fix just search the thread and you will find what you need, and if i remember correctly it can be done with regular tools. good luck and have fun on the course man.

use a zip tie around the arch to keep the ata knob from turning.
