Hi

I have 6 way with 230 mm and I change spring now from 222 manitou , spring is shorter(ti spring) my qustion is , can I ride with shorter spring or what can happen? . 230 and 222 have the same storke size but springs are diffrent .

As long as the 222 is long enough for the preload ring to contact it properly, everything will be fine. Measure from the end of the spring to the end of the threads on the shock body. If its >8mm, you're all set.

Springs are sized by lbs./in by shock stroke.

For example a 500x2.8 is a 500lbs./in by 2.8 in stroke.

You need to match the stroke length on the spring for the shock.

Dartman yes in know that is storke size but spring is 1,5 cm shorter , and this 2 dampers have that same storke size but difrent spring lenght thats why I ask. I know now it will be good:]

yeah you should definitely trust their advice. i would give you the same.
