Nice score, I wouldn't call bmx basic though. When I went from 26 to 20 the bar was raise and sh!t got crazier.

I probably worded that a bit awkwardly... back to the (my) roots would probably be more accurate. ;)

awesome.
...shouldn't be too much more to get her up and running from there. Just watch your chain clearance on that c-stay 990.

I'm guessing that 48 hole back wheel might do double duty as a boat anchor.... :D I'll probably just keep it on the cheap and see how it rides, then score a nice wheelset if I can.

Got some more parts together.
Got the rim for free, a brand new Suzue sealed hub for $5, spokes and nipples for $20, bars, tires, seat, pedals, t-shirt and stickers for $113.
For some reason, the dude I won the frame and parts from created a shipping label on the 16th, and finally JUST TODAY got ahold of me saying it's finally shipping out. I could have been rollin' today, but it's looking like the middle of next week.

Put the 7.9" bars on my cruiser, it actually feels pretty sweet. Going to test ride it tomorrow.

I found the cruiser frame about 2 years ago on ebay too.... $40. :D
The chainstays are stupid long though, I have them at almost 16". Any less and the tire rubs.

This little bike is ROCK SOLID. For a total of $275 and the stem and cranks from my cruiser, I'm really happy with it.

Weighed it today at the LBS, 26.6 lbs. Not too light, not too heavy. I like it. :D
