A stupid, easy, seatpost question...

I have an '04 Specialized Enduro Pro that needs a new seatpost. There is a "shim" in the seatpost hole.

The Specialized website says that the post diameter is 30.9, but I'm not sure if this is with or without the shim.

Can anyone shed some light as to what the diameter is without the shim? I don't have calipers....

Pshh, who needs a caliper. Try a ruler on the open end of your existing seat post. A ruler with metric graduations would be ideal since the measurement is in mm's.

I think almost all Specialized and SC seat tubes are 30.9.

30.9 is the diameter WITHOUT the shim.
