Neck Guard Anyone?

Does anybody uses a neck guard/brace when racing? Which trails would you use it in a single black diamond, double?

never seen one used for mtb. perhaps they dont allow enough freedom of movement?

There is a kid that races Fontana that uses one, looks like plenty of movement, just doesnt look very comfy to me

One came with my new 661 flight helmet, im gona give it a try see if it doesnt hinder my mobility too much.

the only time I notice the Leatt brace is when I take it off. It does allow for more range of movement than you'd think, especially for DH. I only ride moto with it though.

I'm thinking the neck brace is one of those "well, the other BMXers aren't wearing helmets..." type things?
But with all these phenomenal riders in wheelchairs and phys therapy lately(seems like it's contagious right now) it's starting to sound like such a not-bad idea. But it would have to be like a seatbelt: wear it ALL the time or don't bother at all. How crappy would you have to feel after you wake up in a hospital bed with no feelings in important places knowing your neck brace was in your gear bag? Hell, I mean look at where/how Tara went down. Couldn't imagine wearing a brace there... Damnit that sucks.
