now mayb i sound like a retard for asking but how do u get one on over the rebound adjuster. this can be deleted after an answer but i cant find it anywhere:imstupid:

how, which ones. i have a new one and i try to get the spring on and there is a gigantic rebound knob which it does not fit over

I thought you were saying you couldn't get it past the shock mounting hardware. Sounds like you have to remove the rebound knob then i'd say.

Take the rebound knob off, put spring and retainer on, replace rebound knob (use blue loctite on screw threads). Done

Theres a setscrew inside the rebound knob that removes just knob from the actual adjustment part

I got past the knob but I'm running an 8.75x2.75 and I can't get the retainer on, there is just no clearance. What's the deal? How do you compress it?

^^^ unthread the preload collar all the way to the base of the piggyback. from there its just finagling.
