Hi, I'm looking for some help with servicing my 07 Boxxer Races.
I have the forks off the bike, and the crowns removed, but I got stuck at the part where I remove the uppers. The manual says to loosen the shaft bolts at the bottom of the lowers a few turns (no problem) and then tap them with a plastic hammer to break the shafts loose from the lowers. I have hit them pretty good and nothing is budging...I'm a little worried about hitting them any harder. Am I just being an idiot and reading the manual wrong, or is this step sometimes a little stubborn? Do I just need to hit the bolts really hard? Thanks.
