DH trail's

Hey I’m from the east bay and would like to know if there are any good free ride or preferably DH trail's in the area. I mostly ride at Tahoe and Santa Cruz but would like to know if there are some closer trails. Also is the CHDH track open to ride year round?

The CHDH course is not open year round as far as I know. It is normally only open to off road vehicles (motorcycles, quads, etc). Phil may want to chime in here.

I really don't know of anything besides normal Santa Cruz trails. I have also been to Pacifica before, there are a few nice trails up there. Not sure on the condition of them now because of the weather. Last year when I went there it was 2 weeks after a rain and it was super sloppy.

pacifica is not bad right now. boyscout is really the only trail that wont drain well for the winter. there is also belmont/carlmont which drains really well in the winter.

I can confirm: The Crack and The Mile are PRIME right now.

Boyscout is, as someone said, SUPER sloppy.
