g sport is def the most economical and i think coolest but you would have to use a 36H application. 4 more spokes/nips will negate any weight savings.

leaf is nice. maybe the lightest?

npj is another. at 211g but no one can ever get them so what's the point...

profile's are awesome. i love mine. they're readily avail in tons of colors. i never weighed mine though.

I just emailed the guy at Gsport about this matter, funny to find it going on here as well. Does anyone know about endcaps that would work with the Gsport?

Is the leaf available? Also, the Gsport is around 90ish, the Profile I believe is around 120-130, am I right on my numbers?

have you seen that done before? seems like alot of modding to get it done. isn't the madera/profile front hubs 19mm alum female axles? i have the madera on my 20" and it looks like a tight fit for a 20mm axle.

you need two 5mm spacers for the g-sport mod. people who have them had to make there own. post up when george responds.

i emailed leaf awhile ago about the hub. the price is wild for a shell w/ 2 bearings. i really wouldnt pay anymore than the profile's price.

That red G Sport mod is definately an easy & effective one to pull off. Lets hope they also used an internal spacer for the bearings.

There's tubespacer inside and the collars are grooved. I flipped them as you can see.

Pardon my stupidity... But for someone who has done the G-sport mod, can you please PM me or post here for all to see...

But what exactly was needed to be done? Machining parts is no problem. My basement is a machineshop... I'm assuming you take the front homer hub and make some new spacers, etc. and fit it for a 100mm spacing?

This is a hub that a friend made, it weights 200g aprox, and the space between flanges is wider than other hubs

hmmm options options. i would love to know if the maderna would be modable. anyone know the weight of the profile 20mm non disc by chance? right now a moded g sport (cant seem to find them in anything but black, can someone hook a brother up) costs about the same or mabey a little more than the profile, but it is very unique and rare

Hope looks like the winner for disc hubs, plus they are cheap. i might have to have the useless disc mounts on my next build. :(

Hey nice thread.
I went with the G-sport spacer mod too, recieved it a bit over a month ago... Much obliged to our main modification kahuna here, Greg!
I've just got to get my jazz out to pick up another rim ASAP here so I can lace up that smooth marmoset. I've just been so busy lately, as an unexpected new homeowner (believe me, I didn't plan on throwin' the anchor)... haven't had much time for anything, let alone browsing the ol' forums...
Anyway, I couldn't think of going any other way now. Was just running an old dimension 20mm with the disc tabs ground off for the longest time and never felt the need to lay down the heavy coin on a Profile non-disc... then finally worked this out with the marmoset.

I'll post up pics as soon as I can.
just can't decide if I want to go with trusty ol' BFR or try a pimplite... and I can't find one of those Alienation rims. oh well. I'll lace something up and see what happens.




edit: hey, what is this "Credits" thing? I'm negative here? what's goin' on? did I miss something?
