I'm trying to remember who this frame is made by......

Its a bmx frame that has multiple cutouts in the head tube, bottom bracket shell and the lower seat tube i believe........they're for adding lightness ......i just cant remember who makes it.....
.....anybody know what i'm talking about or am i just imagining things?

i would try searching google or previous posts but i dont even know what to search for.......Holey frame? that doesn't help.......

Also, how trustworthy is it, are those cutouts gonna compromise the strength enough for a 200 lb guy to worry about?

-thanks

eastern grim reaper. You can get an almost as light frame that will probably last longer.

I think that most of the high end Eastern frames have cutouts in the seat tube, bb, and headtube. I don't think you would have a strength problem, but I have heard of those frames breaking. I would check out a Fit Aitken series 3 if you want light and strong though.

Eww... I've seen one around my shop, got it all built up any everything, but theres still some question on whether the headtube will handle the load, AKA no ovalization.

eastern has a new frame w/o the cutouts. reaper 2 frame looks ok and still 4.5 lbs with their new tube set.
