Searched the internet but was wondering if anyone has good info on where to get good road tires. I need 650b tires for a free "junker" I got. Thinking this will make a great commuter/bikepath bike.

You got a junker that takes 650b?

I thought that 650b had been out of the marketplace for quite a while and only returned in the last few years.

Photos?

Sorry, don't have that answer, but you can get it easily doing a search at bikeforums.net

Also, after my extensive research on wheels and tires, I have now come to the conclusion that (re-)introducing a new size to the american market is retarded.

Schwinn Mirada. That 80's blue and flouresent green. But I'm thinking whitewall tires, paint it gloss black and chrome it out.

My bike mech says that apparently 650b's are the "new" 29.

I dunno, just happy I got a free bike. :)

Thanks for the info!

For pavement, Rivendell has great 650B tires, though they are not cheapies...

They also carry the Schwalbe 650Bs that are a bit less pricey.
