a garmin venture cx, all that came in the box was the yellow gps. luckily my nikons computer wire is the same as the one for the gps so i didnt need to buy a new one. what do you use for software? nothing came in the box.

It's probably the most popular and will allow you to take someone elses track and upload it to your GPS, really helpful for race pre-rides.
A map and a compass perhaps??

I use MapSource - its ok and it was free.
