Please tell me that sticker is *above* the clearcoat!

Also, you need one of those flask holders for you bike, I have one, and it rules.

I didn't even think about that. Yeah, it's over the coat.

I really wanted one, but when would I use it? There has never been an instance when I wanted a drink while riding and then afterwards, it's off to a restuarant for a beer. Can't do liquor within hours of riding.

I am wicked jealous. The Talon has, in my opinion, the stickers backwards. The "Kestrel" is in small letters on the toptube, and the "Talon" is in big letters on the downtube. I would love to make my own stickers and switch the two names, but the stickers are clearcoated.

When will you have it completed? Photos n00b.

Whew. Good on the sticker.

I don't know, it's kinda neat. I have one on my "bar/townie" SS. I don't think I've ever used it while out and about on it, but there is a Poker Run coming up next weekend, so that might have to be the first time...:)

damn man, just got the frame today! :monkeydance:

I should have photos of the complete build by next weekend.

Possibly silly question... powder is painted on first, then dried, yeah? Then stickers applied, then clear coat over the whole thing?

Can you remove the stickers, put new ones on and clear coat just those areas with a bit of overlap to the original clear coat?

(I doubt it's worth it to you do bother, I'm just curious)

I wonder if a cop would give someone a hard time if they saw the flask on their bike?

Good on you for putting up pics so soon. I'd approve, but I need to spread some rep around.

Next weekend will be fine. I might be in a transitional phase with work right now (I should know more by next week), so my bike might not be put together for another several weeks. I'm not happy about it, but rent and food have to be accounted for before bikeys.

Hmm, you speak wise my friend. If inspiration ever strikes, I could theoretically take an exacto knife and try to peel away the old stickers. If that works, my guess is that I could get the new stickers on there without looking like I did too much work. If the exacto knife doesn't work, it would look like an angry ex or someone key'd my bike. Not ideal.

So you'd blame it on Graphics? ;) :busted:

I hope your work transition is something you want.

The only flask holder I could find is $30 at http://www.ahearnecycles.com/flask.htm
