FSA/Gravity Gap. 4 external bearings on the BB, 2 piece design, light enough. If you start shopping around don't forget so see if the weight includes the BB. I have had hassefelts and holzfellers, both are heavier than my Gaps. I abuse my Gaps and the only problem I have had is the bash guard is starting to crack.

I second that.
I have a set of new Vendetta's paid for already, just waiting for them to come out next month to be shipped to my house.

see my avatar? deity 4130 cranks with the deity 4b chainwheel and a bash bolted right on the chainwheel. the chainwheel i have fits on the grooves in the spindle and doesn't require a bolt to hold it on. of course you can use other chainwheels and bolt them to the drive-side crank arm. i've also run a spider on the cranks so i can have a granny gear + middle + bash. worked just fine. i've run a gamut, a raceface, an e13, and a darkcycles bash.
can't wait for the new diet deity :)

You run a BMX style chain ring or get the E-13 adapter to run a regular one, or two. And yes, just like any other crank you can run a chainguide since they dont attach to the crank its self. However, running a bash could be a little different without an adapter or a BMX style bash.

btw, the new deity cranks (Vendetta) will have a better "removal technique" (currently need a BFH) and be lighter for the same money.
they have held up for over a year fine for me. i get some creaking on my rig, but i don't know it it is the cranks or the suspension bolts. it took me some time to figure out the right setup with the spacers and sideloading the bearings. eric at deity is super helpful with setup tips (call or email him). the nice thing about these is that you can set up any chainline you want/need.
and they look nice

Yeah I'm not getting them for my freeride rig, but rather my street rig.
Not that I wouldnt use them on my freeride rig though, as they are super sweet.
I just dont need new cranks, and dont have piles of cash lien around.
