Hey everyone just wanted to give you a heads up that Lee McCormack from Leelikesbikes.com and I Zach Griffith are trying to see if anyone is interested in a training camp in the San Jose/Santa Cruz. Lee will not be attending, but we are both (together) looking at ways to get his knowledge out and not require
him (Lee) to be there. In doing so, we've decided that
I am going to be coming to the southridge/Fontana area to teach in November. The cost would be about $250 per person for the weekend, and would be around 10-15 people. The camp format would look like this:
FORMAT

* 10a * 12p drills
* Lunch break
* 1p * Ride trail until it gets dark or we get tired out.

Day 1: Drills then trail. Position, braking, basic cornering. We would practice on a relatively smooth trail.
Day 2 would depend on the group and it's needs. Basically drills then trail. We would review then whatever fits, i.e. terrain absorption, manual/hop, drop, etc. Then depending on the terrain and the group, we would look for a bumpier/more technical trail.

Spots are going quick, so Please email me, zstyle_22@yahoo.com, if you or someone you know would be interested.
Thanks again,
Zach

So you're already having one in Fontana and you're judging interest for one in Santa Cruz/San Jose? I was a little bit confused up there.

Could I do this on a DH bike? Any bike?

thanks

Yeah, but it sounds like the November date isn't enough time for people to really be interested. You definetly could do this on a dh bike, or any other bike. I recomend a gravity inspired bike but it really depends on what bike you are the most comfortable on.

Thanks for posting this up! Is this an all-around mtn bike clinic or dh specific?

It is an all around clinic. The skills learned will help you descending; whether it be on the dh bike or just trail riding.

I would be very much interested as I need to get quicker. I can't do anything the weekend of the 3-4 (SAT), but if you setup another date somewhere in the Bay Area with decent riding and more time in advance.... I would definitely be interested in going.

Yeah, it sounds like it's just to late notice. I'll probably be back in january or February. Keep your eyes opened!

Will do. I'd be stoked to do a riding clinic. From what I've heard everyone says they help a ton.

Yeah, before I started coaching I was a student of Lee's, and let me tell you I was blown away. I'll keep you guys posted.
