Mammoth Mountain

hey guys, i was just wondering if any of you guys have ridden mammoth on a hardtail. I want to take my hardtail up there next summer and i want to know if any of you have done it. I also want to try and hit up some of the downhill runs, so would i be better renting a bike or riding my hardtail.

You can hit everything there on a hardtail, it will just hurt. If you want a more enjoyable day of riding i would rent a bike, but you've got 9 months to figure it out.

You can do anything on a hardtail. It just won't be as fun for rough stuff / gnar.
