Has anyone been reading the articles about this case? Here is a link to one from Time....it seems like he might have a good shot at getting off (of course he still faces charges for running from the police)

I can throw you a couple second-cousin sister wives, if you'd like. They have all their shots, I just haven't had the time to consummate the unions.

[teh sarious mode]The case against him is weak as all hell. He will WALK if the jury has any sense, at least on the accessory to rape charge. Is he a bad dude? Yes. Does he assist in the abuse of women? Yes. Is this something valid to throw him in prison on? No. Find something bigger (ie, money laundering) and put him away for a long-ass time.[/off]

I agree that the case is weak, but it's not invalid. Girl comes to him and says "I'm being raped" and he tells "it's not rape if you submit." He's not holding her down physically, but as the ultimate authority over that community he is emotionally. It's not that far-fetched.

****ing burn him at the stake, the sick ****.

The defense argued that about the only way you can be an accessory to rape was if you held her down, or were in the room. I agree that if the jury has any sense he'll get off. Plus he's being tried in a town that has polygamous couples, inclines me to think they would past all of that and more at the facts

Being the upstanding polygamist that he is, I find that statement false.

I bet this one's gonna be a fun hairball in a court of appeals. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets overturned. However, Arizona's gonna get their day (and they have a real age of consent), and the feds, too, so he's D-U-N done any which way you slice it.

According the FLDS, he will live forever and thus outlive whatever jail sentence man brings upon him.

Good luck with that...

"Amen my brothas!! Go on and let the lawd all up inside ya!!"

It was believed that Warren Jeff's father, Jedidiah, was immortal. Apparently his death sent shockwaves through Arizona City until Warren took the reigns. What puzzles me though, is how a community can so easily believe in several "chosen ones." For years, the people of Arizona City worshipped Jedidiah as the chosen one, like he's at the right hand of God. Jedidiah passes away and in comes his son, who I assume told everyone that he is the real chosen one, unlike his father before him. It's kinda like Star Wars, but only if Luke indeed turned to the Dark Side. BAM! he's now praised as the real chosen one. I know the answer to this question is "yes," but are members of the FDLS really that gullable?

Note: the name of Warren's father isn't Jedidiah, but it sounded neato.

No, it doesn't. To me, Jedidiah sounds more fundamentalist Mormon.
