Well the time has come to upgrade my Dakar, and the 2 bikes i'm mostly considering are the Jamis XAM 1.0,and the Kona Coiler.
I like the feel of the Jamis,it fits well, and just feels right. The Coiler wasn't too bad either, and i liked the fact that it had 6" of travel. Whats everyone's opinions on these two.TIA
what are you going to use it for?

It's really a matter of your preference (I know, you probably don't want to hear that). They are rather different too (coil over shock vs. air shock) so they are going to pedal differently. I personally believe that Kona makes great bikes so I would lean toward the Kona (I really haven't ridden any Jamis bikes though).
can you post links to the bikes? I'm too lazy to look em up

I ride/race the Jamis Dakar XCR Pro. I love Jamis. The bikes feel great. I haven't ridden the XAM but the specs are nice and its a fair price. You get a good bike for the price.
As you can tell, I'm bias towards Jamis. I haven't ridden a Kona so I don't know how they are but I've heard fairly good things.
