29"ers aren't "all that and a bag of chips", like a lot of the non-29"er fans think we as fans of the wheelsize think. It's a bike that works better off road for a lot of us than the 26 inch wheels did.

I suspect that for "ludicrous bombing" of downhill trails wouldn't be good for most 29"ers. That said, there are a few that can do that and do it well. The Lenz Sport bikes come to mind here. I think that category of 29"er is set to grow, as well.

So, while you may never be found on a 29"er in the woods, that's okay. Just as long as you are on a bicycle in the woods and having a good time, I could care less what size your wheels are. It's all bikes in the end.

Enjoy that crow if you choose to eat it.

I think the big hoops definitely help over roots and through and over rocks - indeed they do.

That bike park sounds like a cool venue Skooks!
