No it wasn't. It was mountain biking on tv, for an hour, with good coverage of the racing. Sure the announcers didn't really understand the racing -- when Warren's front end washed out coming out of the berm, the announcer described it as "a classic example of the front-brake grab" and later when Graves' rear wheel washed a bit against Prokop, it was again described as grabbing the brake. But none of us really need the announcers anyway and joe public isn't going to know the difference anyway. Oh and the format didn't make a lick of sense.
None of that matters though. There was solid coverage of top-to-bottom head-to head racing on television for one hour. There is nothing disappointing about that.

Why did they choose to have 1.07 seconds as the max you could win by?

i mean the racing, the annoncers were crappy but nothing really exicted happened besisded lopes, tara's crash, and ec's bobble. other than that it was so predictable

I noticed that too, and I even think the maximum was different at other times, or perhaps it was just different between the men and women.
