got a giant vt 1 with new drive train all shimano. big rider; chain seems to be skipping under power could it be the freewheel , it does seem a little clunky..thanks baffled..older wtb speed disc

thanks but everything is perfect , im thinking freewheel is shot, it wont skip with my weight(185) his weight isat least 230

check your bearing preload. Had a similar problem when I carried a heavy pack (30lbs). Chain would skip under heavy acceleration, but would act normal without the pack.
