hey max Im kristin. I was the girl first on the scene to you. Here is how I saw it.

You were going down that rock section, hit something wrong, did a handstand on your handle bars and then you were bucked off your bike in a terribly rocky spot. Me and another guy ran down to you while my other teammate went to get the medic. You were unconscious for about 30 seconds and then you started screaming like the pain had just caught up to you. I kept you still until you could get up and start moving and made sure you weren't bleeding too bad anywhere. A rock had gone straight through your helmet and stopped at the last piece of foam before touching your head. I did a head check for ya when you came too and you seemed fine. The medic finally came and I guess thats when you got lifted out. Im glad to see you are pretty ok. You may need a new helmet though! haha.

Hope you get well soon...and hope I never have to run down to you like that again!

what's up with all the wrecks on Asylum? I never thought this course would produce such carnage.

holy cow Kristin, that sounds like a catastrophic wreck. glad you came out of it OK shova, relatively speaking.

Yeah man get well soon. Me and AJ saw you at the bottom right as you got there, and after another rider of ours who was 2-3 guys behind you that run told us what happened we were all hoping you'd come out all right. Get well soon and hope to see you back out there next season. Until then, I guess it's time for some PS2 Downhill Domination (which ps, if you don't have it, use all the sympathy you got going for ya and get it....it kept me going after I had torn my acl a couple years back).

Holy sh!t...

...and I thought my wreck at Dom#2 was bad.

Good work Kristin! There was a girl named Isabel that looked after me when I ate it... You ladies rule!

Shova - glad to hear that you are O.K. That really sucks that you can't ride until next year, but with head injuries you MUST exercise caution during the healing process.

Have you gotten an MRI of the ol' noggin? Everything where it should be?

...let's hear it for CSPC Full-Face helmets folks... be safe out there.

CO local here, but check in on the Diablo board to see what happening out east. It looks like we you guys are doing it hardcore out @ Diablo. Maybe we need to start an East Coast chapter of the "Mafia!" Sorry to hear about your crash bro. Keep on keepin' on, and wishing you a speedy recovery. As was said before, it sucks your out for the rest of the year, but let your brain bucket heal totally brutha... This should be a lesson to everyone... WEAR A HELMET!
