what are some bikes with a low center of gravity? My current bike I find my self eating **** hard because my feet cant reach the ground when trying to stop. So far the giant glory comes to mind what other dh bikes am I forgetting?

Someone has to say it...Sundays are low.

Now that that is out of the way, I'm not quite sure I can envision what you mean about eating it when you try to stop. I guess i'm just picturing that someone would usually stop, then tip to one side and put a foot down. Could you be a little more specific about the situation?

both wheels were elevated the middle of the bike wasent me falling down a cliff. Im pretty sure im getting a sunday frame. Im 5' 10 Im thinking of getting a small because I prefer smaller bike. Will my knees be hitting the handle bars with this size? Even when I tip the bike my feet still cant touch the ground on steep rock trails. Not being able to put my foot down for a spli second makes it really difficult to ride with full confidence.

So you are looking for something with a really low standover height, not necessarily a low COG? Just trying to clarify here for others.

The seat post was all the way down. The funny thing is the bike feels way better with the seat post up a little but then im way too high.

first off, try not stopping. It ruins any workout that you had going and pisses off the riders behind you
if you do have to stop, take your but off the seat and stop right.

seems kind of silly that you would buy a whole new frame just b/c you tip over when you stop

canfield F1, low standover as well as a low center of gravity. I only throw this in here because of the frames I have had this is the lowest.

I'm about 5'10" and ride a small sunday and it kicks ass. Everyone I ride with under 6' is on a small, everyone 6'-6'4" pretty much is on a medium. Depends on how you ride. I think my small fits me better than any other bike ever has.

In regards to your problem...I don't understand it. Makes no sense.

Anything with a BB lower than 14 is low. I don't really understand why you would buy a new frame though. It seems your technique might be a bit off.

An old PDC would have the standover you're looking for:

Has anyone here ever bought too big of a frame? I keep on taking nasty falls when just trying to put my foot down. The top tube is up to my crotch when standing on flat ground when in steep rocky trails it waaaaaaaay higher.

Why don't you answer the question about what bike you are riding? I really don't know many newer model DH bikes out there that have a large stand over height. My guess would be you are using the wrong tool for the job.

I ride a yakuza that seems to have a really low stand-over height.

This is a medium by the way.
