Reminds me of the Giant VT, except with slightly revised linkage.

Why do womens bikes have lower TT's?

Fascinating.
Hey Kyle, gotten much time on the Blindside yet? Care to share and contrasts/comparisons to the GM?

For some reason, that linkage, along with the VT's has confused me immensely. I have to stare for like 5 minutes just to visualize how the shock compresses.

Why do womens bikes have lower TT's?
women tend to be shorter than men?
as for the blindside, I've had a lot of time on it and I love it. We've made a few Geo tweaks for the final version which will make it a great race bike. I've already got my parts list all picked out :D
in comparison to the GMal it is lighter, lower, shorter in the rear, and more race friendly geometry.

which one of the "ladies" on the transition crew is testing that sweet machine????? :brows: just kidding... love the new frame kyle. now, i just have to convince the wife that she "needs" it.
Prototype yes?
Looks cool, but there isn't much room for mud or small rocks in terms of rear tire clearance.

I'm interested to see the axle path in a cad program or real life. I think it would be pretty forward moving from what I can imagine.
I dont like the zero tolerance tire clearance either. But the small size frames are nice.

That is a huge tire that most people probably won't be running on that bike - I think its about 27" in diameter with that tire. Tire clearance should be fine with a sane sized rear tire. Its a Maxxis ADvantage 2.4 which is high volume tire which sizes a lot bigger than most other brands - its probably around a regular maxxis 2.7 in size. I bet you'd have a lot more clearance if you were running a 2.5 maxxis minion or smaller.

i would also assume that smaller riders would probably be able to get away with smaller tires.
any word on the style intent of the bike design? XC? freeride? slopestyle? all mountain? some other buzzword?

you got any weeeed on ya? Be a lot cooler if you did :D
Sometimes it helps me to figure out odd suspension linkages by starting at the main pivot (or in the case of a single pivot or linkage single pivot, the swingarm) and visualizing what it would do as the suspension cycles. Then visually work your way from one pivot to the next until you get to the shock. You can sort of animate it in your head this way.
Thanks for noting the true size of that tire Syadasti - that helps a bit.

The bike looks great and the suspension design actually works really well. it drives the air shock and makes it feel more plush. not to mention it is light as hell for what it is.
Sweet. Ruth getting one Kyle?
I need to come up there and order my blindside. I already have my new Juicy's for it. Got a white E.13 im going to be a trend whore woot.

it's just a single pivot with a linkage actuated shock. axle path shouldn't be any different from any other SP with the pivot in that location. :)

Stay away from Engineering then:banghead:
Picture the rear wheel moving up, pushing the chainstay forward rocking the chainstay link of the rocker forward and therefor pivoting and rocking the shock side down. Hope that makes sense, does in my head!
What bike? I only see boobs in gray shirt and cameo pants :brows:

it is just a bad picture, there is at least a quarter of an inch around the entire tire.

He left Transition, but he is still in the same building. I talked to him today via email, and he said she really wants it, but they have them set aside for someone else.
It would also make a great bike for someone that is small and can't fit that well into any man's bike. Or Groms. I might think about getting it for my bro, who is a little small for his small ASX.
