I'm getting sick of bending cogs. I just picked up a new 19T steel cog last week and it's bent and dropping gears already. Mind you it was just a cassette cog so it was not really designed for SS use and I knew that - it was free after all so I won't complain to much.

Who's running what? I know I can get King and Surly stuff. Any recommendations?

(and yes I know 32X19 is a "easy" gear but I live in a hilly area - lots of short steep climbs and some really tight single track)

you shouldn't be able to bend the surly cassette style cogs. They're double thick at the base compared to just cassette cogs.

I run a 20 tooth Niner cog and have had good luck so far. As stated above the Surly cogs are pretty burly as well (and fairly inexpensive)
