08 Fox 36 Van RC 2 making weird noise

So I just swapped form being a marz 66 guy over to fox since the new 08's were looking nice and also light. I put this on my bottlerocket and have not looked back. So I do not know if this is normal or if my fork is not set right but it seems very squishy and its only had about 3 rides on it. I am about 185 with gear, I left the stock spring in and running minimal preload. I have the high speed only turned in about 2 clicks and the low about half way.

It makes a weird noise when I bottom it, not a harsh noise like something is wrong and its HS is set to low for bottoming but a noise that sounds like it might not be right.

Any suggestions?

i dont have the fork but im going to guess if youre bottoming the fork, as a rule of thumb you should increase the spring preload and or go to a stiffer spring...why would you have a setup that allows you to, sounds like, regularly bottom the fork out?
