Been looking through pictures from the WC at Mont Saint Anne and saw this:

Many riders including Steve Peat and Sam Hill are running these red Boxxers. Does anyone know anything about them? Are they are different?

they are old decals for the boxxers tenth anniversary or something.

2007/(08?) forks with the old school decals to celebrate something about the boxxer.

seems the RS people forgot that the 98 boxxer (the one whose stickers they put on WC racers forks this weekend) had dark grey crowns and not red like the ones they used in 99 and 00 and at MSA.

The crowns color it's a small detail Vitox, the intention is what it counts......

I was really excited when I saw the '98 spec graphics on the Sid's. I thought they had found a crate of them. Still the best XC race fork... EVER.

some of them did indeed have red crowns. May have been the earliest, I think I remember them having boots back in the day, up until late 98 or 99.

So did I. I already had a '96 LTS. However, I got bit by the DH bug in the fall of '96 and I wanted a "real" DH bike for '97. I saved up the cash to buy one. Then, I spent it on a ring instead. At the time, I thought I was crazy. But today, she doesn't care what I spend my money on and I have a bunch of bikes and 3 dirt bikes.

Back to subjet, those bikes were so pimp in the day.

...blood still pours out of my ears when I think about my experiences with them from 2002 - 2004.

i had that bike. actually a couple of them. they kept snapping into pieces
