Is sugar mountain worth a 3 hour drive from VA to ride for 22 bucks for an all day lift ticket? I've heard the lift is slow and yes I know that Snowshoe is only 3 hours in the other directions but it's also more expensive... What's the riding like on Sugar mountain?

Two DH trails, very slow lift, basicly the only option for locals. Not worth coming here if Snowshoe were even further away. You'd be better off just going a little further to Windrock if you want to skip the resort prices but get lots of vert.

FYI - The course will be pretty much the same as last year with a re-route around the huck rock up top. That's straight from the horses mouth. They weedeated the whole course a couple days ago, so it should all be rideable.

He wants feedback on what might need improvement on the course from those that come up and ride inthe coming weeks so he can tweak it before race day. So, PM me and I'll forward it on.

I can only imagine how great that was. I've been up at Sugar, sitting on the lift of course, when a downpour hit. Still raining like hell when I hit the Lizard and it was a creek all the way down, just follow the water. It was a blast.
