Moving back to So Cal. looking to ride.

Hey the wife got a job at the University Hospital and we are moving back to manhattan beach in the LA area. Started as a monkey in the pac NW when I moved there so I need some time riding with others once I get here.
We will be relocated in the begining of July so I'll be ready to roll shortly. We are actually down here house hunting this morning so its all good.
We are opening a digital printing and sign shop here as well to keep people happy with stickers, decals, vehicle wraps and printed materials banners etc... So I will be working hard as well as so I want to play hard.

Good to have you back BC, we'll have to do Mammoth. I'll be riding XC in Utah 7/27-8/6, but I'm sure Mammy will be back on after that. Alloy and SMT (mtbr forum) and I just got back, three days of mayhem.

We got all unpacked and going, got time to do a ride the other day.
Took my kid to the Santa Anas on a trail thats used by Hill to train as well as a couple of others.
A little above my kids head he did well and OTB'd once. Besides the extremely steep nature of the trail and the 4+ dry dusty and pebbley texture at times it was OK. A nice little set of jumps and hips at the bottom, Id bring a designated shuttle next time.
I want to get east and ride a couple of spots outa Hemet as well as a little north, apparently there are some pretty good shoots as well as crossing over the Ortega to OC has some good stuff.

bully - check the thread "XC ride, DH style" in this forum. a bundle of us ride every weekend. Saturday mornings are becoming the standard. we are looking to shuttle on saturday morning and then hit the dirt jumps. interested?

you should check out sbmbc.com and otbmbc.com. they both have packed calendars of group rides. whereabouts in LA are you relocating to?
