Homegrowns havent been made for 6 years, yes. a lot has changed since 2000...external BBs, shimano dual control, SRAM empire, Virtual piviot point suspensions from Giant, Intense, Haro, Santa cruz, and DW link... full suspension is now the standard, not hardtails.

yup, '01.
I've got one of the last gen frames I still kick around a couple times a week. Still a fun bike, even if it is 6 or 7 years old.

i just picked up a 01 limited frame for my single speed (which currently has a 01 moab 1 frame)...cant wait :rockout:
2001 is correct. The 1999 Factorys were the last ones made by Yeti (and lighter than the newer ones, but more fragile).

What the hell are you talking about?
2001 - check to see if you need that ICBM headset for it. My Rocket 88 is a 2001 and it requires this headset. YOu can still get em from Cane Creek thankfully.

I believe all the new-style ones require it.
Hey, blue, you sure about the old ones being lighter than the new ones? The top end new version weighed less than 3 lbs, I believe.

Yeah...I believe they started using 6061 aluminum over 7005 (might be the other way around) in 2000 after moving production from Yeti (after they sold it). Stronger, but a tad bit heavier (I also believe this was because of the addition of disc mounts to the frame)...3.2~lbs. I had a 99 Factory that weighed in at 2.9.
