I know a couple of People who have done it. it takes a special bread.

One of my Friends ( Cathy Ellis ) won it in 1991. A group of 5 of us did a century about a month before she did the race , she had already done 100 miles before meeting up with us, and she still out motored most of us.

I've known several who have done it. I went across as a mechanic twice and the fields are definitely full of characters.

That and hike the AT are my two life goals. If I do those, then I'll move on to kayaking the Pyongyang.
