Mr. Hankey

I just got an 888, and was searching the web for a direct mount stem. I came across the replacement crowns offered by Go-ride, and they look enticing. I am contemplating both their lower, and upper crowns to eliminate the need for a stem with it's direct mount system, and lower the height with the lower crown, and get my head tube angle steeper. I have not measured it yet, but it is way slack now. I am using my 888 on a 05 Mongoose Black Diamond frame. My question is are these worth the $300, and are they a quality product that will stand up to some punishment. Or should I quit looking into it, and just get a Marzocchi direct mount stem, and be done with it.
