The Canadian dollar topped 94 cents US on Friday, as another well-known economist forecast the loonie is on its way to parity with the U.S. greenback.

Woohoo!

Sweet! Whenever I visit Canadia I always end up bringing back like $10-20 CDN, and every time I go there I also forget to take my pile of $CDN with me. But really all I have to do it keep forgetting and watch it increase in value! Thanks George!

You've obviously never taken the time to ask one. Either that or you couldn't hear the answer over the clinking of your little faggy sticks.

It could be worth 2x American money and it would still be stupid. I hated Canadian money when I lived there, you'd have a pocket full of change and it would end up to be like $90 in freaking Loonies and Twoonies.

Paper was invented for a freaking reason.

Yeah the Canadians around here are all walking around with long faces, they're getting killed, Aussies, Poms and Euros too. The weak yen doesn't affect me so much as I don't send money home but I do notice it when I go home. It's actually cheaper in Japan than in Australia now factoring in the exchange rate and price rises in Australia. When I came here, Japan was roughly twice as expensive.
