Just finished registering myself and 2 others. Who else got in? I will have my monkey jersey and if JBP gets in I'm going to find him after missing him last year.

I'm in, pigboy's in.

I started registration at 19:00:05 and took 11 minutes to register both of us. By 19:25, they had filled all 800 slots.

So what makes this event so good? Seems like it sells out in 38 seconds every year.

I do it just to do it. I guess to test myself to see if I can finish. It's not real expensive and you get a T-shirt, merino wool cap, 10 aid stations with food and drink, a good meal at the end and a finishers medal.

Yikes! First time I did the VASS 50 Miler, I registered the day of the event (or maybe the night before) and slept on the floor of the Ascutney lodge. I think that was in '95. Very fun time and would love to do it again but sounds like it's gotten big time (plus I don't have the time like I did back then to get in as good of shape :D ). Hope the VASS folks are getting some good funds for their cause.

It was a great time w/ very nice people and beautiful scenery. Hope it still is the same.
