It was good. It was hot... but good.

Pics coming and report to follow. :D

The plan was to head out Friday morning so as to allow for a nice leisurely afternoon of setting up camp and getting ready for the weekend. Which worked nicely. By Saturday morning we were settled in and ready to ride. The plan was to go out to Rabbit Valley and hit up the much vaunted Zion Curtain.

A quick drive out to the trailhead found us transported to the Serengeti:

Luckily there was *single*track in this part of Africa. And I'm talking less than 8 inches for most of this section. :thumb:

Here's a cool burn area we rode through.

Dropped down toward the highway and through the curtain. Toto, we ain't in Kansas any more:

Hey! Who the f**k ordered the steep, loose climbs??

Some more moonscape being created. Luckily this was apparently right down by the river.

Morryjg and the remains of his lunch.

Morry makin' the slickrock look EASY (http://home.comcast.net/~elan_mbx/Fruita07/DSCN0343.MOV).

We ended up doing a bit over 20 miles with the last 5 or so being doubletrack in what felt like 100+ degree heat. :dead:

I would give it a definite thumbs up, but would select either an earlier start or as an earlier in the season ride. :thumb:
