Is the first race NORBA

The reading race which was part of the gravity east series you needed a norba licence to race. Do you need a NORBA licence for the first diablo domination race? is it still open format? On the diablo website it says that the first race is a qualifier for national championships. That got me thinking, it must be NORBA with NORBA classes?

This is taken from the press release last weekend: "This upcoming weekend, Diablo Freeride Park will proudly host ROUND ONE of the 2007 Diablo Domination Series. In addition, ROUND ONE is also the third stop of the newly formed Gravity East Series where racers will receive separate points for both the Diablo Domination Series and the Gravity East Series. With the U.S. Open looming the following weekend, and with many top racers in town, the competition is expected to be fierce."

It is my understanding that you need a norba license if you want your race to count as part of the gravity east series, but if you just want to race and don't have a norba license thats fine.

The classes WILL NOT change, but you will still be scored based on your NORBA class for the gravity east series.

hmm, ok I was wondering about that. I dont really understand how it can count for your class when the classes are not going to change though??

I would assume they will take your placing within your class (eg, if you're in amateur and 5 sport riders in the series finish ahead of you, you get 6th place sport points in the series). I don't really know how this works and I'm not doing the series, but that's what I understand.

Ah, yes that would be the way to do it I didnt think of that. Thats cool that you could see whos in your NORBA class that you usually race against.
