View Full Version : Can you still ride during the US open?

Just as it says...The mtn is still open for regular riding during the us open right? Is this a weekend not worth dealing with the hassle or is it just business as usual with more crowds? Any info would be appreciated.

I thought that was the case but wanted to make sure. Anyone who was at the open last year...was it stupid crowded or not too bad and tolerable.

I'll be ther either way but wanted to be prepared. Sounds like a weekend to get a little riding in an really enjoy the atmosphere.

i wouldnt bother with the crowds. the lift line is insane. if u wana ride yuor better off another day

Being that it is a long weekend and only 3 weeks into the season there I'm gonna be fiending to ride. Are any of the 3 days "less crowded"?

It is stupid crowded, but they get that lift flying. The line moves surprisingly fast, and it starts to thin out later in the afternoon. Definitely tolerable.

if you go on the last day alot of people will be eliminated but honestly its not worth it.

i'm going up saturday morning, racing, and if i qualify racing on sunday. if not i got a hotel room anyway so i'll just freeride on sunday and deal w/ the lines

They are going to be open on Monday after the US Open as well.

So that's 4 days! :thumb:

Oh yeah, I thought it was sat, sun and mon. now i feel better about dealing with lines sunday as long as I can enjoy monday.

id have to disagree. due to diablo not giving me the re-run i deserved, i didn't qualify and just rode on sunday. it was the most fun i'd had on a bike in a while. i don't think the lines should stop you from going...
