GARDEN GROVE – A young girl's visit to a Santa Ana medical clinic Monday led to the arrest of her father on suspicion of child rape and incest after the girl learned she was two months pregnant with her father's child.

Francisco Jardon, a 38-year-old unemployed Garden Grove man, was arrested by Garden Grove police Monday after being told of the clinic visit.

Jardon's daughter went to the clinic complaining of nausea, but a medical exam revealed she was pregnant, Garden Grove Sgt. James Colgrove said. The girl told investigators her father had been sexually abusing her.

Jardon is facing charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, lewd or lascivious acts involving children, and incest.

He is being held on $1 million bail at Orange County jail. He is scheduled to be arraigned May 16.
