Anyone running/tried these tires? Looking for a back tire for my newly-rigid XC bike. Thought it might be a decent higher-volume but fast tire for dry CA conditions.

I do value handling over rolling speed, but am trying to break myself of using heavy, slow tires on all my bikes.

I have a set of these tires.I bought them last summer and ran them for a while.They roll good and work on dry hardpack but mine measured out at just over 2.1 with my calipers.Have you looked at the schwalbe racing ralf.They are alot lighter and more true to thier size.I'am thinking of trying some on my heckler.Hope this helps.

Don't know a thing about the pythons.... have friends that have riden them and they all seemed to like them.

Along that same vein would the maxxis crossmarks. I've only had mine a couple of weeks but they roll crazy fast and hook up really well in the corners.
