Took the fork in to get some new seals. It came back without rebound damping or functioning knobs. Been sitting in the shop for several days while the tech awaits a phone call from Marzocchi. This is getting ridiculous.... any idea what the problem could be? Cause the shop sure seems clueless.:disgust1:

can you explain a bit more?

do the knobs spin freely? or do they just not do anything?

They don't spin freely. I don't think they click, but I'm not sure they were clicking when it went it. They were working when I dropped it off though.

well, try this, undo the crown bolts on the rebound side and see if you can pull the stanchion out, if so, the cartridge is bust, if not, id say the oil level is wrong.

With too little oil, you'll get that 'have to go down and get the oil' phenomena for the damper to engage.

Check the levels.

Or just take off the knobs, remove the springs and see if you can get the dampers to engage by just moving the damper rods.
