The Diablo Trail Crew just finished up a new line off of Tempest that features "anthem", a new ladder drop also located in the Diablo North Peak area. The setup of the 'Anthem' drop is downsloping at 10degrees and requires more speed than some of our other features. As always, please inspect all features before attempting (there is no go-around!)

Feature Rating: Expert Only
Height above landing: 6 feet
Distance to landing: 16 feet

Looks sweet!

Say - on some of the wooden features do you guy plan on adding some kind of chicken wire or grip tape to aid traction?

you could totally case that thing. it wouldnt stop you dead or anything cuz there appears to be a surface to land on, it'd just be like a 6 foot drop to flat

Yeah I guess you could case it and drop to flat and possibly risk deflating your junk or just rocket to the tranny .I think if you can hit the tranny its going to be a sweet ride.

Will the US Open course have drops like this in it? I'm doing the amateur class, but now I'm nervous. Don't want to break my neck.

Nope. The US Open runs down BMW. It's a tech trail as far as rocks, but no drops. EC

Word. And even last year when that one Domination race included 3 decent sized drops, there were always go-arounds and none of the drops were as risky as this one (i.e. no gap involved).

that gap looks too wide, would be nice if there was less flat.

Did The Drop Sunday, It Was Cake. You All Had Me Scared With All The Hype, Took A Look Rolled To The Beginning Of The Wood, Let Go Of The Brakes And Let It Roll To The End, No Huck Needed Just Leaned Back And Cleared The Landing About 2 Foot Into The Transition, Excellent Landing You Guys Did A Great Job Constructing This Thing, It's Actually Possible To Flat Land This Thing If You Pedal Kicked It With A Hardtail And Landed Tail First. Now We Need To Have Something With Some More Height And Steeper Transition, The Gap Could Be Around This Big Or A Little Bigger If The Ledge Was Higher. Again Kudos Goes Out To The Trail Crew.

Hopefully the Imperial and newly healed collar bone will be up to the task
