Share your thoughts on what type of riding apparel you like for DH and why you like it.... Are you into a t-shirt and jeans or are you into racer style jerseys and pants, like a full fox set up or something?

Funny, I thought it was just a strategically placed pet squirrel?

Haha I wish. I seriously am trying to find a chewbacca costume for the sheer purpose of racing in it. Or a gorilla.

But for real, I normally rock just some cut-off camo pants and a t-shirt over my armor, sometimes a jersey. Depends on the weather. Cold weather I do jeans/hoody combo. But I did order the azonic catalyst shorts for racing this year (don't have 'em yet). And I got a loose fitting pearl izumi jersey.

I have always wanted to dress up in a costume or like a one of those big jackass mascot costumes and take an illegal run during a Norba downhill. Maybe like during a Pro heat or something. And then get it all on tape

for the chewbacca look i just ride naked...nah for trail riding just some tld moto shorts, 661 tomcat knee prot., the first pair of gloves i find, a t-shirt and a sweatshrit, dj helmet with goggles and my hawg camelbak and my trusty dc-shoes. for dh, i go all tld racing style...661tomcat knee and tld SE moto helmet ...if the track is gnarly i use a dainese shuttle pro suit...i guess that s it....oh and underwear i use either my southpark boxxers or my sesame street boxxers....i think i m faster in my green sesame street boxxers.

I normally just ride in a T-Shirt and some black riding shorts. Ankle brace, knee/shin guards, gloves, and helmet. Nothing flashy for me thanks.

so don't wear it. wear what you like and what you are comfortable in. This ain't baseball, we don't need uniforms. however i would highly recommend against pink spandex :thumb:

I actually own a Chewbacca costume... Got it at a Halloween store a few years ago. It always gets a laugh when you come out wearing it at a campout or something along those lines.

Again, ride in what is comfortable. I ride in grey camo riding shorts and a team or other DH jersey. And please do not forget armor and shoes. Pedal pins hurt bare feet.

amount of padding depends on what type of ride
the full body armour suit stays home except for shuttling
and race weekends

jersey minimal oakley jersey (more like a breathable t shirt really)
shorts some oakley all mountain or something

i guess a very casual look but with materials that are breathable. Cant stand riding in a cotton t shirt i just get soaked straight away then it gets f@cken cold, cant say im a fan of the full moto look,

carhartts and a breathable shirt (Jersey or anything not cotton). No gloves usually. Lately I've been busting out the moto shorts more often though.

because motomike is rubbing off on you. And I'd say that hideous chafing would get tiresome too.

Me...I ride moto stuff regardless. Always have b/c it's the most functional. Cotton tears, soaks, stains, heats up, freezes. I ride DH runs in the winter in jeans b/c my moto stuff is all shorts is the only change up.

I run NoFear MX for several years now and switched over to their low key Combat series. They're full length over the boot pants, BUT the legs zip off into shorts and they've got a zippered pocket like TLD's.

or the Tank Series. Same features, nicer materials.

I just cut the sleeves and legs off my Thor moto jersey and pants. Since I sold my bike, I saw no reason to keep them intact.

I rode most of the fall in some Fox 360 shorts with all the rubber logos removed (it makes them stupid light and comfortable to wear for long periods of time) and a Morewood T-Shirt.

Still waiting for my Rogue kit to arrive for this season's "race wear".
