Yeah, I know. Another stinkin thread about Fruita. Fruita Fruita Fruita. People talk about it like its some sort of mountain biking heaven. Oh wait. It is. Me and some friends drove out this past Friday morning and managed to get in 3 good days of riding. Even though it was the Fruita Fat Tire Festival weekend, the crowds weren't as bad I thought.

Great photos! That's Jeff. He's an old friend of one of my main riding buddies, who drove up from Tulsa to join us for the weekend. Great guy and strong rider. Loves his Inbred.

http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n60/MMcG25/InbredPostRide.jpgI'm still thinking of getting an Inbred 456 as a 2nd ride. I took Jeff's 29er (18" frame) for a little spin around our campground and it felt great, but I think I'd want a little more travel up front.

what is his Reba set at?

The Reba 29er fork can be set at 80 or 100mm - and either will work fine on an Inbred.

Fruita Family Weekend. We've done one pretty much every spring and fall for the last couple years. It actually might be FFW V or VI. :D

Last fall we got mostly rained out but on Sunday I got my boys (5&4) out on the Kessel Run. :thumb:

It's soooo nice and green out there in the spring. Such a contrast to our fall trips.

Fall is generally very brown. All the ground vegetation is gone. I prefer the spring riding with all the green...
