Air cap on Argyle

Well I have a Marz 05' DJ 1 with air caps on both sides. My new RS Argyle 302 isn't very stiff and I wanted to have air assist. It has oil in one leg and spring in the other. Would it be possible to use the air cap off my Marz and put it on my Argyle? It threads in, but would the air hold?

Thats odd, my argyle is very stiff. I weigh 210 and run I run it on low compression. I have never used more than half the travel on it.
