I haven't ridden it but it looks like a nice bike with a nice spec. My biggest gripe is that for an “XC race” bike doesn't have an easily accessible water bottle mount. I don’t want to have to take my hydration pack with me or stick a water bottle in my back jersey pocket if I were to race it or go for a “quick” 30 min loop.

and will pick it up next friday. I rode the shop owners edition and liked it alot. In my size 19 the bike should wieghs 25 1/2 pounds. To go lighter would require another frame because the parts are killer. I also go a good deal on the price. Whats not to like to like.

Congrats! I haven't ridden the XCR, but I have ridden a XAM1 at length, and the new suspension design kicks ass! :thumb:

I love mine. I got mine for racing and this is my first year with an actual XC bike and I love it. The mounts for a cage a bit of a pain in the a$$ but you get used to it plus whenever I need 2 water bottles I just carry one in my jersey. Have fun on it, they are super sick bikes.

the word from my bike shop was that they are the hot ticket this year and they are having difficulty keeping up with demand. I ordered one and hope to have it before the end of June.
