Not to be rude, but why do you call urself a freeride park when you dont host a single slopestyle or freeride event(besides diabloween which is more of a closing celebration)? I understand you have alot in the terms of freeride trails, but what would it take to make such an event possible?

They have 6 races all season. They're open every weekend for "freeriding". Last I checked you didn't need a freestyle competition to go freeriding.

edit: also they're working on the slopestyle event. the cut was supposed to put one on last year but logistically they would not have been able to pull off an event to the standards that they wanted. so they canned it instead of half-a$$ing it. I was actually about to inquire about the status of it for this year... Jamie or Shawn (any of you guys) care to chime in?

last year there was almost a cut slopestyle event. and if it was you put all the races together you would get two full weeks of racing and the rest of the year freeriding. there really arent many trails that have been started by diablo that do not have at least one freeride feature. even some races do. dominaiton race 3 last year had the road to nowhere and the final race featured the floom drop as well as the phantom drop.

i asked for a slopestyle event to be put together, not if there were freeride features in the races! also "Jon", the last I checked you dont need races to go "downhilling"....but races are what racers want (its what progresses the sport), the same goes for freeriders! so shut your ****ing mouth because its people like you that prevent the freeride and slopestyle aspect of mtn. biking from progressing!

edit: for the record, both sean and I answered your question. If you're really so illiterate that you didn't realize it, well take your own advice and read other people's responses before "putting pointless opinions" into a thread. and getting angry for no reason.

and yes i'm OBVIOUSLY trying to hold back the sport of freeriding... did you see the footage of the red bull rampage where the guy was trying to throw sticks in the rider's spokes during their runs? THAT WAS MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
