my chain keeps binding up in the space between the casset and spokes. it takes forever to get out anyone have a suggestion on a product i could buy to fix this problem or is there some kind of adjustment i could use

low limit screw. shift the gears into the highest (largest, closeset to the spokes) gear. then screw in the low, one of them will prevent the derailleur from swinging the chain into that space when you hit drops and stuff. i'm guessing thats it. might not be, but its a start

jcook is right. do you have the stupid plastic piece that goes between them because if your problem is not what jcook said you might want to throw one of those on.

not mine. they are all still on. (no idea how) but they are holding up great.

If you derailure is adjusted properly this will never happen.

on a SRAM derailleur (atleast my x9) they're right below where the derailleur screws onto the derailleur hanger, there should be 2 screws, one labeled L and one H. on a shimano the limit screws are right above where the shiftcable housing goes into the derailleur, near the barrel adjuster
