hey guys, i want to know what brakes works better for dh freeride, the 07' Shimano Deore BL-BR-M535 Hydraulic Disc Brake Set or the hayes 9 brakes....i have a tomac 204 magnum just for you can know how heavy is it lol .... thankss
for those choices. i hate to say it. but buy the hayes.
if you can get some LX or XT or saint brakes, get those instead

The old Deore hydraulics work great, especially for like $90 a wheel.
I have no knowledge on the '07 ones, but I would probably rather run my bikes brakeless than ride hayes 9's.

Shimano for sure, I love their products, they make good **** even if some might not like their name. Japanese quality...

My wife ran the '05 version of the Shimano ones on her VP Free with 203 mm rotors - worked well for almost 2 years until she smoked a line up (could have been damaged from falling then continued to slowly leak out until we noticed it).
